The production is not the best but it creates a kind of mystery feeling that makes you anticipate the movie more. Now, we will break it down and analyze it. Here is the full trailer;

Now, we are going to analyze a few scenes in the trailer;

Unseen men move through the dark, with only torch beams to show their presence. The same happens at the beginning of Aliens, except there are only three of them. And no trees.

A man is discovered hanging from a tree, skinned by a Predator – because Predators enjoy their meat low fat. The helicopter crew are found in the same state in the original Predator.

Miscellaneous doctor man is eviscerated by an alien who emerges from behind a surgical curtain. Just like baldy doctor man Charles Dance in Alien 3.

Aliens – or is the Predalien? – go aquatic in AvP2. HR Geiger’s finest have already got their feet wait in Alien Ressurection. Even the overgrown shoulder blades are the same.

The military turn up and shit gets set on fire. Gun totin’ grunts come to save the day in Aliens and, again, shit gets set on fire and they save no days.

Every alien-killing she-warrior needs a child to bring out her motherly instincts. Ripley gets Newt. Kelly gets her own daughter, Molly.

Some poor doomed soul falls prey to one of the alien monsters, but all we see is a splat of blood on the glass. In Aliens, Ferro dies in exactly the same way.

Sweaty vest? Check. Practical, yet attractively bedraggled haircut? Check. Big fuck off gun? Check. Reiko Aylesworth’s Kelly O’Brien is clearly Ripley Mk II
